Working as a lawyer and Partner over the last 35+ years, more than 10 of which has been in law firm management, I have experienced first-hand the challenges of working in a highly competitive environment with challenging client requirements and increasing pressure on the need for value from every investment and the importance of ensuring there is a clear strategic plan aligned to an organisation's mission or purpose.
I started my career in a small regional practice working as a lawyer but developing sector specialisms catering to the needs of clients large and small. Having developed and grown specialist legal teams, I extended my management role alongside my legal work and became both the IT lead for the development of case management and the IT Management Board representative. I have held various management roles including Board (Executive and Operational) level roles before taking up a Managing Partner role of a top 100 firm. I continue to work in a law firm environment alongside senior management.
